Coined ‘MISCHIEF IS IN THE DETAILS’, this upcoming collaboration between famed Manhattan-based Taiwanese American fashion designer, Jason Wu and US retailer, Target takes the idea of mischievousness to a huge level by invading the walls of New York City’s TriBeCa in the form of a massive billboard in it’s campaigning effort.

As the collection’s launch date, slated to be February 5, draws near, the complete 53-piece collection has also been unveiled; revealing a mix of beauteous and trendy pieces which consist of peter pan collars, classic a-line silhouettes, nautical colours mixed with mustards and blacks.  Wu has also incorporated Milu into some of the designs—a playful black cat (which is also his muse) that can be seen on select pieces as well as Target’s marketing campaign.

The core attractiveness of this collection, after a seemingly rise of collaborations we’re about to see this year (after the likes of Versace, Marni, Mary Katrantzou and so on) is it’s easy-to-wear concept and it’s friendly price-point.

All dresses run for USD$59.99 or less while accessories won’t set you back more than USD$49.99.

Pretty affordable huh?

Well, it seems that this is the basic reason why the last Target’s collaboration with a major designer label, Missoni, last September set shoppers in a frantic mode, whereby they grabbed any pieces they could get their hands on in-store, and online, crashing Target’s website.

Now now, we say there’s a chance of that happening again.

After all, Jason Wu is famed for designing First Lady Michelle Obama’s inaugural ball gown in 2009 and dressing up numerous celebrities for the red carpet including Emma Stone, Natalie Portman and Michelle William!

The Jason Wu for Target collection will be available on February 5, Sunday at the following locations:

Chicago Target
